The Affordable Care Act, or ACA, also known as your health insurance, is a healthcare system reform that includes various improvements to expand access to quality care and improve patient services. This reform also establishes that United States residents can receive a tax credit to pay for their health insurance.
To access a tax credit, you must primarily have a social security number and legal immigration status, plan to file your tax return for the year you are requesting coverage, and have income within a certain range according to the number of people included in your tax return.
You can only enroll in a health insurance plan during the open enrollment period established by law for your state. The open enrollment period through the Health Insurance Marketplace for 2019 coverage ran from November 15 to December 15, 2018. You may qualify for a special enrollment period if you experienced certain life events, such as moving, having a child, getting married, etc.
Contact one of our advisors and they will answer all your questions and guide you through the enrollment process simply and COMPLETELY FREE.
For all individuals enrolled during the open enrollment period, coverage begins on January 1st of the following year.
